While mountain biking is not enough While mountain biking is not enough
So your son has been begging you to get him a bike for kids and you've given him the green light - but did it occur to you that every purchase ATVs for children alone is not enough? Before your jaw dropped any, let me explain. When you buy a home, you need to buy other stuffs, such as beds, sofas, dining table and many other accessories to "complete" home, right? Well, same goes for buying your son his Kid ATV. Other than just children's bike, you need to get him the ATV parts that come with it. Here, you get what I'm trying to tell you now, do not you?
There are a wide variety of ATV accessories for children you can find online or in bike shops - but I'm sure if you visited web sites or as www.jackel.com www.kidatv.com to "investigation" on the Kid ATV models they have, you also know that, like the bike for different kids that you see on these sites, there are many different types of ATV accessories also available. As many as ATV accessories out there on the market, there are the basics of ATV accessories that your son should have.
One such is the helmet. It is the most important accessory that should have if he will be riding his mountain bike for children. If it is in a bike accident, the body part that really needs protection is the head! There are several types of helmets and bike helmet offers protection, the better. Some helmets are made only to protect the head while others are made to protect the head and face the runner as well. I personally think it is better because it prevents the rider from being poked in the eye and scratched by branches, then he or she is driving.
Goggles protect the eyes of the rider and bike is also another important accessory for your son's bike riding trips. Not only does it protect your eyes from any kind of eye injury, but is also important because the rider will not be blocked by his vision of mud or other debris while underway. Shirts and pants are also accessories for ATV, as they provide a little protection against normal wear and are more comfortable to wear for mountain biking. Besides, your son will probably prefer the shirts and pants that are designed to ATV riding, because it make him look like a "real" mountain bike rider.
If your son were also plans for night time riding trips with friends, you may want to consider making him a kit for its flagship Kid ATV, which allows the pilot to see at night. Surely you do not want your son to be riding at night without some sort of lights to guide their paths, you? I think it is better to invest a little more about the spotlight for his Kid ATV as receive news of him planting a tree or another runner as he is riding his mountain bike for children in the night.
Of course, there are many more Kid ATV parts out there that is available, but this does not mean you have to buy all of them. It depends on how your son is "in" mountain bike. It is not necessary for you to go out and get all the ATV parts that you see in stores - only get what is really necessary for him first, then gradually add when the need arises. If you want to know what other parents bought for their children when they got their Kid ATV, you can post your questions in the forums or www.jackel.com www.atvoutdoors.net - you can be sure that adult ATV riders and parents, there will be more than happy to place a word or two for you.
