To summarize the changes to the M47 Tank Engine, Banks added to the mixture completely new exhaust system, a revised intake multiple twin turbo, and a push built from the base of the fuel system to make this V-12 monster more than 1,600 horses and over 3,000 foot-pounds of torque! Due to the excessive wheel spin and make the car able street, the car has been given to about 1,200 horses. Needless to say, Jay Leno is too pleased with the results of his concoction absolutely crazy. He is also proud to comment that not only Gale significantly improved the power output but also fuel economy!

The Sidewinder is another side of business Gale banks in diesel performance. The Sidewinder truck is the fastest diesel pickup in the world, pushing a quarter mile times as low as 12.16 seconds at 115 miles per hour! To produce 735 HP and 1300 lb-ft of torque, the banks have had to make several changes to the stock system. Some of the major additions are ram air ducts, an improved cooling system, new fuel rails and fuel pump, highly modified cylinder heads and a Holset variable geometry turbocharger (VGT). The VGT is an especially important choice for a quick quarter mile times, because it maximizes the turbocharger boost created for a given rpm range. It does this by changing the angle of incidence of the turbines to minimize turbo lag and cons pressure. This in turn reduces the time it takes to wrap the turbo and maximizes boost through the RPM band. Variable Turbine Geometry is a relatively new advances in the technology of turbocharger and appear to give much additional benefit of performance they need to win races and win the prize. In fact, VGT is one of the latest technology that Porsche has incorporated into their 911 Turbo to keep at the forefront of the ultra-competitive battle for the top supercar.
