What kind of plywood cons do you use to attach to boat seats bench metal in a metal boat? I bought a fishing boat 16 foot bench that has metal in it and want to change the seats to fold the taking of any benches
1 / 2 "to 3 / 4" thick must be adapted. Seal it with a quality marine varnish / sealer too.
Keep an eye on the wood over time if ... be exposed to the water break down over time.
I prefer to use the boards board myself. Use 10-inch white head and 2 10 inch pieces plannk back. The only difficulty will get the right equipment for the party fold
You will need a green treated plywood .. because the boat is still around moisture .. prevent it from rotting for you.
In accordance with another answer, as to the content Ply Navy, I just had a thought, and kinda wonder why it has not been explored by the manufacturers.
I have been in business long, often remodeling bathrooms. For bath or shower areas I use concrete??? Composite backer board, I suppose, is more resistant to water, or at least more sustainable through the process of degradation.
I have not tried to boat seats, but I believe there are ways to adapt, as you suggest you want to adapt plywood. Just a thought ...

Another thought also just came to mind,,, Why not something like "Trex"??? Composite Decking type "Wood"???
I would use an "exterior plywood. He rises to the elements.
make sure it is marine grade
Use marine plywood year.
Seal it with "Spar Varnish", it will last and hold up in wet places.
What you should do is get Susan "lazy" and mount the seats on this, so you can rotate around, when you "hook the big" A ":)
Mount the seat on the carousel, then mount the lazy Susan is on the metal bridge (if its a large enough width for the seat with stainless steel screws, so they usually rust).
Or, if the head isn't big enough, then put a wooden base (grade marine spar varnish on with it already, too, touched the bottom of the seat with spar varnish, then it doesn't hydrate you it, if its exposed wood) on the seat, and make sure "round out the edges, or construct on the sides, so you do not have lips, because I guarantee you will reach the your lower legs on it, and hurt:)
I wish you good luck ..

Use 3 / 4 marine plywood b / c otherwise ordinary plywood will rot very quickly a mold which is not as good for you to breathe and just be in order.
3 / 4 "marine plywood is what you should use. So not use construction grade plywood regular. It strains and cracks, even if you seal it.
