If I purchase car parts (hood, headlights, bumper cover), will be an automated warehouse, put the pieces that I buy on my car for me? I'm looking to save money by buying cheaper parts online or dealers. If I buy these parts, can I put an auto shop and they put the parts on the car for me? Or will they tell me that I need to buy new parts for them?
Yes I agree with the type 2 above me. Most stores DO NOT install parts yourself buy. They fear having to be responsible if something should go wrong. ie. If your bumper cracks because it's shit. They do not want to be responsible for these types of things. If anything, go on a forum and see if there is someone in your area who would do it for you. Maybe you can just simply buy beer and meals. Maybe a little more. Cheap is never better. Do a lot of research before you commit to buy some. Do not buy body parts at low prices, they do not match and you have to get more body work. Good luck with them though.
Well, as a part-time (mechanic now), I can honestly say that you can not save money by having a shop put it. They likley charge you almost as much "work" as they would if you had bought them and had to install it. I recommend finding a friend or neighbor to help. Even better, you can have someone teach you how to do it by example, that way it's done and you know how to fix it so it must be replaced. It would be much cheaper to bribe a friend to do (if they know how to do).
according to the shop, they will most likely put on your parts, but they will not offer a guarantee of quality or if the parties do not, do not match, or in turn cause problems in other parts vehicle. Basically you will be notified of their liability if something goes wrong. and if they try to put on your parts and it is inappropriate or if something screws up their, guess what, you always pay with their time and labor. it is best to shop around for a good deal on parts and labor! Good luck!
Very probably not. automotive repair shops make money on the parts they control. In addition, they will not guarantee that the parts you picked will be done on your car. If you want to save money, learn to put the parts on the car yourself.
Yes any car will store your documents as they are made for your car. The shop will probably charge you for labor and bring your own pieces. get a couple of different quotes before allowing any engineer bastard touching your turn. Good luck.
Most stores do not I run a store over 35 years and we do not install parts you have purchased. If you want us to get them from a scrap yard, we will. But we did not install your parts.
They will. It is a work "that" the sale. They do not mind. Ya they make money a little less, because they do not charge a fee for the parties. But they did not lose the time to send them.
No reputable repair shop will use your parts, some independents might. Hit the community colleges and see if they have openings for her. Or do it yourself.
Umm im not sure but I think you can just tell them to put it on for you .... but they may charge you for placing on you. Working for the Working
Some places will, but your best with a friend who knows a little, like buying parts and what not. It can easily cost you more ... Sometimes the cheaper rooms do not fit well .... or is not correct ....
no ... they are supposed to put on your parts. (If you get the right ...) cheap is not always better and does not always work ... (Especially Honda.)
