Car Tires

Car TiresCar tires??

I bought a front wheel drive car last year and did not check the tires when I bought it. Well now there is snow on the roads, I discovered that he had summer tires on it. Not funny. Can I go buy only two all season tires right now and put them in front, or do I buy 4 tires and change them all ?????

Let me guess, you have some (and possibly import) Hot-CD that comes with summer performance tires from the factory, right?

If you put two all-season tires in front and let the winter traction without the UHP on the back I can assure you that you absolutley wreckage of the car. Why? Because while your front tires are biting and you feel good about yourself the rear tires have no traction, floating above the ice or snow, then you put in a snap spin suddenly and may be the nearest pole or utility bus. HP and UHP summer tires use rubber compounds which lose their elasticity at extremely cold temperatures and lack of bite in the snow or ice.

If you insist on buying only two tires, even if you really need four all well informed, shop reputation following the standard guidelines of the industry will put two new tires on the rear axle - for I avoid the effects described above. This means that you will not be able to leave your input for all skating.

The tires are the No. 1 piece of safety equipment on the vehicle. Get all 4.

Buy two tires and mount them on the front if it is FWD. The difference in the tread on the rear brake will slightly slower, but simply to drive safely.

Both before you.

But if you have the money all four would be safer.

Personally, I get 2 new tires put on the front. Depending on how much snow you get, you can either get the season or all winter tires. I'm going for winter tires in winter, but because we have lots of snow. Wintermasters I like the best.

I would also rotate your tires at the same time, by placing some on the front on the back, and when you take your new tires come spring, those on the back should go to the front.

Both should make it a condition that they are on the same axle and the same size as the other tires.
