Is is best to use wax-based silicone on a car that has just been waxed with a carnauba wax based car? I intend to wax my car with a wax-based color enhancing Carnauba (Turtle Wax Color Magic) and all with a protective layer containing silicone wax (Rain-X Fast Wax). Can produce good results?
Yes
Ouch. Your car will cry. The magic of color is a bad thing. I tried once. I never use it again. Never use silicone-based wax. You media blast down to the metal, if it needs more to be repainted. Otherwise, the new paint has holes everywhere because of the silicone.
Mother or use Meguiar's. Start with a good washing. Use a bug and tar remover, if necessary. If you want excellent results, start with Meguiar's clear coat body scrub or a bar of clay. Then do the fresh varnish. Then finish with Gold Class wax. It takes work, but it will look awesome.
Turtle Wax is undesirable. Use a wax real mother or Mequires. Personally, I prefer the Tech Wax 2.0 Meguira. Awesome stuff
Never use silicone on your car, it will deteriorate paint, materials and metal for a short term gain, high gloss.
its fine
but these two waxes are zero
I agree with Kenny
