Custom Tool Boxes

I am 52 years old and have recently (1 year ago) been disabled. I learned how to tool leather and projects of all kinds.

I can do almost anything from leather, including checkbooks, book covers, wallets, card boxes, custom tools, bracelets, handbags, briefcases, watch bands, etc. and I can put any finish on them and can cut almost any image or logo on them. I can put any kind of background on the work as ordered.

The problem is, I can not find a good way of trying to sell my product. I tried e-bay, but I did not even offer. My prices are not high by the standards of other e-Bayers. I do not mass products, but only on command. I can produce images of all or part of my work. What am I doing wrong, or, better yet, what can I do that is fair? Thank you in advance.

I would like to add advertising or checking your local stores Scrapbook, Journal, and stationary stores.
Shoe / leather repair shops (that's where I found a card for a leather craftsman). Check with your local carpenter shops. Car shops, motorcycle shops.
Provides a class to your library
. Example
"Take care of your leather." It is a good way to get your name in the community.
Check with your local community center, the centers of the library senior centers, parks, recreation space.
Street demonstrations are not bad. These types of shows can be tiring, so I needed to know my limits. Take someone with me and be ready to call it a day.

Hook with biker (motorcycle) blessings. Entertainment. leather clothing suppliers + / stores.
Network will be your best asset. Where you can find someone to help develop a website.

Consider SBA find a volunteer to help in marketing.

The disabled craft market is very good these days and many communities have meetings, galleries and boutiques are connected to the purpose of marketing your wares.

Take pictures of your work is feedback from your customers and put in a portfolio. Use this option to help you.
Get maps compound. I still have my seamstress Addy leather riding my motorcycle clothing after 11 years. I carry a portfolio of business cards, so I do not lose my favorite connections.
I know a card is good publicity. Carry yours with you at all times. Never know when a potential customer would be about.

If your local library is a display on the leather to create books or to get involved.
Remember your senior citizen centers.
Our hospital has display cases and many elderly, disabled or used for corporate advertising, leaving examples of work there on the screen. (Including the Veterans Hospital)
Disabilities and the elderly also hold courses at our collage here they use for advertising.
Example: Weaver holds a class in weaving base.
Dulcimer maker holds classes in the basic game of the instrument.

In all the places I mentioned request to be able to advertise leaving cards in these places. Bring your own card holder .. Perhaps something you design leather.

I do not know if any of these rules apply to you I hope this gives you some practical ideas.
My experience in marketing were all locales, sometimes over a city and have served me well.

It's one of those things that people do not realize they need until they see it. I plan to craft fairs where you can go out and put in place. Then you could launch a website or blogspot freebie tripod to keep customers loyal in return.
