Can you drive with a jump starter / booster attached to the battery for a short distance? My alternator is shot. I have a 300 amps Vector START-IT Jump Start and I am able to start my car (1989 Saab 900) with her determined, but once I remove it from the car stops.
Would I be able to drive about 3 miles with the jump start attached to my battery? I want to avoid paying for the tow to my mechanic, if possible.
Yes you can! In addition, charge the battery and run it stores on the reservation (no Lites, radio, HRT, or any other accesaries) that is what reserve is for a battery. When the battery is dry, connect your jump start to go a little further, it stored reserves.
Yes you can, but it could ruin your machine vector.
Theres only one way to know. But beware, it might work too.
This is not a good idea .... Booster kits as yours is only good for giving a load (or juice) on the starter. After that you want to burn your investment.
Yes, but the strip the wire ends so they have touched all +=====+ -====- and do not use your lights (engineer)
A stupid idea on my part, but why do not you just charge the battery, or is it not function bootloader on your jump.
If you can charge the battery on a battery charger it will get you 3 miles before losing his load.
Just take your booster with you just in case. The danger is the son of the recall loose short-circuit or getting caught in fan belts, etc.
If your car turns off when you remove the wires from your alternator is dead, but in answering your question, it will not hurt a thing, but the other guy is good you can charge the battery, you can always remove the battery in your car to another and jump start it and load it that way
Maby you should simply replace the alternator when the car is
