Outboard mounting sailboat dinghy? I'm looking for a mount that attach to where the bar moves normally on a boat. It need not be very strong assembly (I'll just use a trolling motor). It is just a small dinghy sailing (sunfish, 12.5 feet). Just something that will set the pins to the back of the boat.
There are several ways to mount a trolling motor to your boat sunfish. it is to buy an additional plays a rudder and mount an aluminum plate that rises above and mount the trolling motor to the plate. You can also change the plate in a "T" shape so that the engine can go forward. see website below for the rudder in the cheek.

other considerations, including the motor on the transom can be problematic, Becaus the distance between the cockpit to the table you may find that you will either need an extension bar for the trolling motor or you will need to site on the hull behind the cockpit. system plays a rudder assembly will swing up and not allow the engine to be locked in position when you release the bar trolling motor, motor guide uncontrollably.
a better idea. Why not build a type of canoe motor mount to be mounted at the rear of the cockpit with the engine on one side of the boat. This will allow you to use the rudder and steerage and the motor can be locked in a straight position or even used in reverse. construction of a boat motor mounting solution is simple and inexpensive. You will also reduce the sail and use the trolling motor.

Absolutely crazy idea. The weight of a trolling motor on a bass kill performance and make it impossible to sail. How do you mount a battery or to protect the electrical connections? Where do you store the helm of the Assembly / bar? Where do you store motor / battery while sailing? No can do!
A paddle is sufficient, or those shaped scoop paddles sold for dinghies.
