Wedding Reception in Hawaii If you are planning a wedding in Hawaii, you can do it economically, and still have a beautiful home, if you invite 5 or 150 people. Having your reception in a restaurant is what I recommend, because it can be done so easily.
One of the best places to have a wedding in Hawaii got to be the Lani Hau Tree restaurant where Robert Louis Stevenson said it often relaxed in the beautiful old banyan tree that now covers the patio dining area like a canopy .
The Hau Tree Lanai is a wonderful place to dine at sunset. My wife and I had our reception, and I can vouch for its food, excellent service and romantic atmosphere. I really liked eating outdoors with a spectacular sunset backdrop.
The best time to plan your wedding in Hawaii is at 5:30 pm when the kitchen is open and the sun beginning to light up the sky with orange and pink shades of purple. I recommend having your wedding ceremony around 3:00 p.m. because it is cooler at this time of day in Hawaii.
We married in the summer, so there was really no danger of being pleased. For people over 15 games, or want to marry during the rainy season (November to March), the Hau Tree Lanai is also a special banquet room overlooking the beach that can accommodate up to 150 people and I'm told you can rent for only $ 150!
Many people think that planning a reception is difficult and the cost is astronomical. But it need not be this way. The Hau Tree Lanai is an excellent choice, but there are other economic and magnificent restaurants where you can have your wedding in Hawaii.
I found the Hau Tree Lanai few days before our wedding day, and the manager was able to accommodate us as there were only 15 people in our party. We were lucky because some couples Hau Tree Lanai reserves the wedding reception for up to two months in advance. Of course, the smallest of your wedding, the easier it is for the Lanai Hau Tree or restaurant in the hotel.
If you have a very small, you can simply order at the map. For my wedding in Hawaii the manager and I worked on a short menu for our clients that the kitchen can handle, but also give our guests are spoiled for choice.
For $ 50 to $ 75 per person, the Hau Tree Lanai prepare you and your guests a full meal with a menu including:
- Bread and Butter
- Entry or salad
- Input (4 or 5 different choices)
- Dessert
- Coffee or tea
That is essentially what we did. And we have served our guests for $ 30 champagne bottle. There are approximately five glasses per bottle of champagne, so I think we went to 4 or 5 bottles. There was plenty of champagne for everyone, as I remember.
We chose the following for our customers to choose from:
Crab Avocado - Stuffed Mahi Mahi
- Monarch Hawaiian Chicken
- Jumbo Shrimps Sans Souci
- Marinated Pork Chops with Mango
- New York steak butter
A gratuity of 17% is added to your bill. With champagne, tax and tip, I remember my bill came to a very large ($ 1,000). This was for 15 people. As you can see, if you are planning your wedding in Hawaii, it should not cost you an arm and a leg.
The Hau Tree Lanai is located on a white sand beach named Sans Souci Beach. The restaurant is part of the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel, 20 minutes walk from Waikiki Beach. It is a convenient place for people to marry in a park or a beach.
