Home Gym Buying Guide

Selecting the correct exercise equipment is important because it is an important investment. If you choose wisely, you will get years of training to meet great results, all in the comfort of your own home. Make the wrong choice and you will end up with an expensive clothes hanger.

The following should be considered when purchasing a gym:

1) Functionality - Does it provide good exercises that get results?

2) Quality - is it manufactured with quality and durability needed to withstand a hard drive and consistently?

3) space - the work to your imprint for your gym

4) Budget

Functionality for gym equipment at home.

In my view, essential to get a gym is that if you hit the weights hard, eat well and take care of yourself, you will get results. If your gym does not allow you to make the major compound exercises like squats, bench press, lat pulldowns, rows, etc., you're not only wasting your money you also lose the time you spent training. Isolation exercises are ideal for shaping existing muscles. But if you do not have enough muscle exists, we must focus on doing compound exercises to develop your core strength and muscle mass.

You now have to work if you want to go the free weights or machine home gym route. When I talk about free weights, I mean training in the former with a power rack, barbells and dumbbells. With regard to home gyms, you have to choose between a gym-style traditional cable or leverage Multi gym.

Before you decide on the advisability of dumbbells or a machine, you'll need to think about what you are trying to get out of your weight training. If you just want to be healthy and not too little care with your size and greatly improve the strength of a gym at home will be the best option. Alternatively, if you want to build strength and bulk up and then a power grid will be the best bet. If you want to build strength and add muscle mass but does not support free weight exercises then a home gym leverage is moving.

In recent years there has been an avalanche of cheap home gyms cable entering the China market. Although some exercises like lat pulldowns or rows are seated in large majority of cable exercises, and in some cases all the gymnastic exercises on the cheapest ones are just rubbish. Many times, these gyms are simply reproduced from photographs by the factories where people who build them do not have an interest in weight training. So it looks like a gym at home, but the exercises feel weird and sometimes downright dangerous. Add gyms cheap declination!

There are very good quality cable home gyms on the market but they are almost always limited to the weight stack that is in the gym. Some gyms only 200 pounds or 90 kg battery. Many gyms have a mechanical advantage - the pulley assembly means that you can lift weights with 60kg 90kg of force only. That would surprise your friends when you show them how strong you are, but sooner or later you will get on some gymnastic equipment properly and look like a turkey!

Another factor in good quality cable gyms is that they often do not exercise quality compounds. In particular, a flat bench press or squat. Seated presses, pec DECS, leg extensions and leg curls are good, but do not replace bed and squats. They are great for convenience, just put the pin in the weight stack and voila. You need to work if you want to lift weights or not.
