remanufactured auto parts? I need to replace a fuel pump on my GMC truck. To order a new one would run me about $ 330 or not. Because money is a little tight, is it worth to look at the command line of the pump rebuilt? I found some that fit my model of one third of the price. I am not sure if this would be a good way to go or not. Just looking for an idea, Thanks!
There is nothing wrong with re-manufactured parts if you buy from a reputable dealer. Usually, they'll send you the core (old part that you replaced) back to them for re-manufacture.
Remanufactured is the next best thing again. They have all new internal parts. The only ancient part is usually housing. They want your defective pump so they can repackage or there will be a sort of base load.
Hope this helps.
Yes, a Reman would be good and as the previous answer, they will come with some sort of guarantee. Reman I would without hesitation.
I used many parts Reman say water pumps, starters and alternators gasoline pumps. Never had a problem.
Reman. is as good as what is new and most of the time, they come with warranty.
