Any recommendations for speakers motorcycle helmet? I ride with a Shoei helmet, street address (both Syncrotec and RF1000) and I would like to add some noise to my turn with an MP3 player. I have tried many ear buds headphones to see them trying to tear my ears when Don and remove the headphones so I was wondering if anyone out there could recommend brands and configurations for stereo set ups helmet. configurations Just to clarify, I'm not looking for intercom walkie-talkie or a microphone, just the head phones. Thank you for your help!
The first thing to do is check for "pockets" for the speakers to fit in the ear in the headphone port. If there are no empty the pockets of a fairly large space to mount the speakers. To be honest, I've never had a chance to put speakers, I am about to suggest that helmets are not designed to accept them.
Get in touch with J & M, they are part of the motorcycle specific best audio equipment on the market. Their customer service is unsurpassed, too, real good people. http://www.jmcorp.com/SeeProducts.asp?PF ...

Their helmets $ 19.95 speakers are very good, and is designed to disconnect the line so you do not need a cable attached to your helmet permanately.
Lose the headset. Wind noise is more of a turn on the music that keeps everything piped through headphones. Save the MP3 player for home or the cage.
Check your local laws.
Besides, do you hear traffic, emergency vehicles or your engine scoots? If your low Jammin to tunes that you'll miss what is important or air may be the last thing you hear.
Dude for me, ears wide open is a safety issue. Ride Safety - quiet ride, respect and be respected.
