Does Borla exhaust tips make my car any different from that of his slp exhaust tips? have a 2000 WS6 Trans Am which has a Borla muffler, but SLP exhaust tips. wondering if I bought a few tips Borla for her if she would change the sound good?
Exhaust tips will not really make a difference in sound unless one is bigger than the other. A 3 "exhaust tip will be substantially stronger than 2.5" tip. Its really quiet as factors in the sound for the exhaust.
In your case between Borla SLP and you could not go wrong because both are respectable manufacturers and manufacture high quality products. Just go with whatever style you like best:)
It is only very slightly - the previous post is pretty much right in this regard. There may be some minor changes to a low tone, but not much. It is a bit of a change if you change your flat (oval) round, due to change in shape "distortion" sound, but here I let the change in appearance over the decision to dictate that sound!
there is no difference in sound with advice only. get a new muffler if you want a better sound. I have a flowmaster 80 series muffler and it sounds great. if ur looking for performance go with a silent good sound to go with a Borla or SLP exhaust system if you can find one ... they stop doing slp some time back. or do what I did and make ur own exhaust pipe Strait
