If the Yankees want Roy Halliday, should they part of Swisher Burnett NICK aj e? I say a.. J is a choke artist and Nick Swisher does nothing for me and yankess their trade as part of the deal for Roy, Blue Jays
Blue Jays do not want the top prospects of any team in the framework of a contract for Holliday.
Why the Blue Jays have under contract Burnett? If they wanted, they would re-signed him after the season 08. It's insane.
They want young, talented players at low prices in return. This is not fantasy baseball, there is real money involved.
I do not think the Blue Jays woul face. Do not forget that I do not think that Nick Swisher is so bad. Swisher has been designed to be a bench player, save the outfielder. I think he put up good numbers (many walks and RBIs much more than expected).
Come on, it's just a stupid idea. The Blue Jays wouldn want to give up anything inside the division, besides, they wouldnt take people who wouldnt want anyone. The Blue Jays said they would abandon Halliday for Hughes, Joba, Austin & Jackson to start discussing seriously, which means they do not even want that. The Yankees would be foolish to separate this kind of prospects for a pitcher who led 2-3 years left in him, and 3 years may be generous.
Thus, the Jays have to give up one of the pitchers in baseball for a starter premier artist (who earns more than Doc) and a guy who does nothing? I do not see the logic or the "what's in it for Toronto" aspect of the profession.
Just something to think ...
If you are considering a career as a CEO I suggest you never start a business negotiation, saying that the player of great value that you want to trade a starter is "artist" and the other player "does nothing". You probably would not have much success.
His Halladay
Jays would not trade a Doc team in their own division that is a stupid gesture
