HELP! Windshield Repair
Details Question: I just got my windshield "repaired" by some guys who tried to replace me, since the beginning. I asked them to repair First B / c I wanted to see what it would look like before I replace.

It looks exactly the same thing! No change at all. I think they just want me to replace the windshield, but I prefer it to be repaired properly. The fragments of rock is about the size of a nickel ... it is small and I can not believe it would still be visible if they had done.

Can anyone recommend a company? Preferably a personal experience. I live in Charlotte, North Carolina.

I have a few comments:
1st I'm really sorry you had to face a hack!
Second if he actually put a "repair" material (resin) in the chip, it is sealed and will not be able to repair this particular chip.
In addition, if the chip is again clear that it should have been released (could not see) it was repaired with a kit of aspiration. Basically the air and dirt must be removed by suction and replaced with resin, then the pressure to push the resin into all parts of the chip. The last stage of repair is cured with UV light, then buff the surface to be sure it is smooth.
In the future, when you get a rock chip to a piece of transparent tape on this ASAP, to keep it clean and dry. Do not wash your car wash with high pressure until you get it fixed. _if_ And you can find someone who offers a repair service for their first use. Not a replacement company will also repair.

Second ... glass repair will not fix what it looks like ... it will just ensure that it will not crack even in the heat / cold. We did it, and the guy told me that it will not be much more enjoyable. He looked better ... but not much.
